I forgot yesterday was Emma Watson's birthday. Why does it matter? She turned 18 and now I won't feel like a total sleeze saying that she's gorgeous. She's legal and I can ogle from afar.

Okay, so this weekend I purchased the box set to Madlax. I've heard good things about it. It's from Bee Train which brought us the mind fuck known as Noir,

which is a wonderful series. I still haven't finished it, I think Lisa, Sean and I left off with around 10 episodes left to finish way back in the day. Nonetheless, that was an excellent series.

Dan and I were watching Madlax yesterday and I went a little ahead of him, I'm currently on episode 16. So far the series is excellent. It's a little slow in the beginning and there's a lot of information thrown at you and it's very difficult to grasp everything at first. Once it gets to episode 12, events and information start to fall into place and the plot begins to make more sense. Oh yea, heh, Madlax is of course pretty much a contracted killer/protector. Margaret..well, I have no clue still. The start of the show is all about Madlax, then for a few episodes, they really focus on Margaret's character, a book and an underground corp that is evil and wants to keep a civil war going in Madlax's home country. Episode 10-12 is a turning point in the series. They give equal screen time for both characters and while their situations are still separated, the story is beginning to merge the two together. Of course they are connected some how.

I give the animation quality a 9 or 10. They really went all out in my opinion on the animation. It's bold and vibrant, minimal CG, but very little to take away from the series. The two main characters live in different countries, one is war torn and the other is "peaceful". The contrast is very evident for each of them. The characters are also very pretty. Thankfully, they animated them to look like "normal" women..body wise. They are not stick thin and top heavy...well one character does have large boobs, but we can skip that. :)

So far the character development is at a minimum so far. Madlax herself is an excellent character in my opinion. She's slowly developing, opening up a bit to Venessa Rene. She has the right mix of strength and vulnerability. Margaret is the other main character. She is very much like her Noir counterpart Kirika Yuumura. No recollection of her past, quiet, and somewhat emotionless. It's not that I'm complaining at all, she's just a very strange person, often too strange for my tastes.

There's a character I really like on the show aside from Madlax, which is Vanessa...she rocks. I don't recommend watching AMV's or trailers for the series. But let's just say she's now a favorite character of mine.

Also, the music/OST is awesome! Just the right mix of rock-techno and instrumental music. Madlax's battle song is perfect including the lyrics. It drives me crazy sometimes when there's music in anime but the lyrics do not match the story or scene, throws me for a loop.

There's more I could write about, but I don't want to spoil it. Sean, I think this is up your alley, beware of the confusion at first. I'm enjoying it though. I'm pretty sure I'll finish it tonight, that's my plan anyways. My geek post for the week. :)

I'll admit this too. I miss my talks with Joe. I miss being with the group as well. And tonight, I had fun. I got to talk about the past a bit, and it felt nice. I'm greatful for Matt this summer. I don't think I've told him, so I'm going to leave it public so he can read if he likes to, but Thanks a lot for this summer, you really are a great friend. I don't want to loose touch with my friends, and sometimes I feel I'm losing it. They're like a second family to me, or my first. They are my family. I couldn't ask for more drama, laughs or concerns...and I need to be there more. Thanks again. And for them, it makes it easier not to totally lose it, because in the end, I have to realize I am lucky. And, also, that I have a fantastic girlfriend that I love to high Hell. And I feel better because of it.

I can finally update. If you wanna know what's been going on, read kawa_kawa's entries. It's basically the gist of what's going on. Its a bummer if she can't make it to te beach, but I completely understand. I'm gonna try to work something out in the meantime, kind of plan ahead. I won't know anything until she does. so wheee.

Work is keeping me buisy, still plenty of time to think tho, and I've been given a lot to think about. Work, family, future, other stuff, it's crossing my mind as per usual, but at least I'm keeping buisy.

There's really nothing else going on. Don't know what day I"m coming home still..hopefully soon. Mark's driving me a little insane >_<.

Oh yeah, my parents are extremely nice to me right now...bastards. Takes me 600 miles away for that. onder what the future will hold.

It came over me, I guess I just don't say it enough. So here it is.

My friends:

Joe: I don't say it often, but I'm extremely greatful for our friendship. You are one of my closest friends, and I really cherish our time together. You are very supportive, and just extremely fun to be around. I can talk to you about many things, and you always have an open ear for me. I only hope I do the same for you.

Justin: I think so far it's been a rollercoaster ride. But, we always get back to normal when it's all said and done. :)

Chul: One of the sweetest people you will ever meet on this Earth. Always willing to listen and has an open heart. She's grown a lot, and I'm very happy to see her happy with...

Matt: We've hung out for almost 2 years, and I have a lot of memories relating to you, lol. I've never had any problems with him, and if there's ever been something between us, he's someone I can go directly to and clear things up right away. I've always had a lot of fun hanging out, and he's the only one I can talk baseball with, so that's always great.

Cliff: A genuinely great guy all around. Very patient and decent person. You always manage to make me laugh, especially around Joe.

Mikey: What can I say? The best friend a girl can ask for. The closest guy friend I've ever had. He's seen me at my worst and at my best. He's been there through so much for me. He's let me cry on his shoulder, and he was one of the first people that knew about my sexuality. He let me talk and sob to him for hours, and I will never forget that. I respect him so much, and he taught me more about acceptance than almost anyone. I can talk to him about anything, and I've never ever held back from him. He knows me too damn well. No matter where I am or where he is, I will always know he'll be there for me, and I the same. Not only that, but he's made me laugh so much, especially with his random humor.

Rachel: We've been best friends for almost 6 years. We've been through thick and thin. We've had people try to come between us many times. We've been through many obsticles, but we still remained friends and pushed through it all. Boyfriends, heartbreak, disagreements...we couldn't be more different. But, we have one thing that will always get us together...food. LOL.

Kelly: Just know that I care about her, and I've learned a lot from her. There's a lot I want to say, but won't. It's been a learning experience.

Sean and Lisa: Yeah, you two are together. I don't know what to say other than, I'm sooo greatful for you two's support, it's meant the world to me, especially in the last few months. I love your open mind and your humor. When times were kind of rough, you've always lent an open hand. And as a side note, my favorite couple. :P

Kawa: I don't think you'll need to be reminded, at least I hope not. There's nothing that I can say that hasn't been said already. All I can say is thank you for everything. I'm always greatful. I've learned so much and you're always there. It'll take up too much room, but I think you know. Balance

Ack, I feel more tired getting 8 hours of sleep, than I did getting 4. How in the helld does that make sense?!

I've been listening to Ill Nino today, and I listened to a song that I can't get out of my head. I think we've all felt this way. Me especially lately. Music again, is my outlet. Than again it makes me think more >_<.
